Dear MTUESD Families,

Welcome back! We are so happy to have your kids back in school.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we are finishing our construction at the front of Mark Twain.  I know it is an inconvenience, and it is related to the installation of the replacement restroom.  The front parking lot work will be substantially complete within a week or so, pending the contractors’ continued progress.  Thank you for following the directions of staff out front to guide the process.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the staff who have worked so hard for school start.  We appreciate their time and dedication.

A huge shout out and thank you to all of our first responders and utility workers that fought the fires to make sure everyone was safe. I thank all of the families and community members for their donations of gift cards that we were able to send out to families that were displaced by the fire.  Your generosity is truly amazing, and I know the fact that you showed you cared touched our families who received your kindness.

I hope your kids have a wonderful first day at school!
