Dear MTUESD Community,
The last day of summer school is Friday! Thank you to all who attended and to the staff who worked so hard. The program was a great retool of what summer school can be for lots of kids!
Just a few reminders:
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL IS WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 13. IT IS A FULL DAY! Please be on time.
The "No Fun" Stack of Forms: You will get that mountain of forms to sign the first day--please take the time to sign and return to us. We know it takes some time, but we really need the info for various reasons. On those household forms, please complete them fully. As I have explained before, those forms help us qualify for other funds and grants so they are important. Please list ALL people in your household.
Vaccinations: Please make sure your student has received the required vaccinations and medical appointments in order to attend. If you have questions, please contact your site office.
Class assignments are made very carefully by the site staff and administrator. Please understand that we create configurations that will give the best possible outcomes to all students and we respectfully request that you not request any changes to the assignments.
I would like to give a shout out to Katlyn Rugo and the stellar staff at the Bret Harte Aquatic Center that coordinated with our district to provide swimming opportunities this past summer session. We saw tremendous growth in our students’ swimming abilities, safety, and confidence. So great! We are hoping to coordinate that activity next year as well.
Enjoy your vacation, and we will see you soon! We won’t have a weekly message unless I have something important to share for a couple of weeks, but we will start messaging again as we get a little closer to school.
