Dear Mark Twain Families,
This is Ms. Paula, Superintendent. I apologize for the lateness of this call. However, it is important. You heard from Ms. Shaw earlier. She, myself, and law enforcement have continued to work on the safety concern. Your child's safety is of the utmost importance. We have appreciated that with every call we made that more information is coming to light. Thank you to all of our students who have included their parents. And, thank you to all the parents who have immediately called. us. At this point, with new information, I want you to know that Ms. Shaw is working diligently and will be with her staff tomorrow to maintain the safety of all students. We are in the process of conducting a full threat assessment and determining safety and until it is without a doubt safe, the individual student or students in question will not be on our campus. We have also alerted our neighbor Bret Harte High School and Copperopolis Elementary. We believe our planning and coordinated efforts will maintain the safety of all children. Again, we thank you for your support and continued communication.

Good Evening Mark Twain Families,
This is Mrs. Shaw. I want to assure you that student safety is our top priority and all safety concerns are taken seriously.
I am working with Angels Camp Police and they will be present tomorrow morning due to a reported safety concern.
It was reported earlier today that a student brought bullets and shotgun shells to school. This incident was fully investigated by the Administration . No bullets were found. There was no report of any weapons by any students
I am also aware of the posting on social media and will continue to monitor it.
I applaud all students for talking to their parents about their safety concerns and showing them the social media posts.
I will reach out again should it be warranted. Feel free to contact me should you have any new information.
Thank you everyone for your diligent support in keeping our school
We look forward to seeing all of you tomorrow.
