"Showing gratitude is one of the simplest yet most powerful things humans can do for each other." Randy Pausch
Reading this quote served as a timely reminder for me to slow down, think for a moment and acknowledge how grateful I am to be a part of this school district. I know that every day I have the opportunity to be with amazing children. Our students bring me joy. There is no greater gift than I can receive than seeing a child excited about learning and knowing that I play a part in supporting their growth. Our staff's dedication and true commitment to our students is apparent every day on our campuses. All of our staff serve as teachers to our students, by serving as role-models, support providers or instructors. I am thankful for our staff's many talents and passion for giving their very best to the students we serve. The families of our students show us their value of education and work with us as a team to ensure our students' success. Finally, I am so grateful to work with both the Angels Camp and Copperopolis communities where volunteerism is a part of life and giving back to our school community is seen as an honor.
On behalf of the Mark Twain Union School District, I wish you a very happy Thanksgiving.
