On behalf of the MTUESD Staff and Board, we wish you a New Year full of health and happiness! We are excited to welcome Kendall Morlan to the MTUESD School Board. Both of Kendall’s children have attended our schools, and her son is a current 7th grade student at Mark Twain. Kendall has been an active volunteer in both our District and community serving on the Copperopolis School Site Council, Copperopolis Homework Club and as a 4-H Leader. Her motto “striving for excellence” supports our District’s commitment to each child, that working together we will provide them with the highest quality education and ensure that they are college and career ready.
We need your feedback! This is our first year of implementation of the LCAP (Local Control Accountability Plan). This three year plan was created with input from our parents, community members and staff last school year and is partially funded through the new Local Control Funding Formula. Specific goals were created with related actions, services and expenditures described. As we prepare for our annual update, we want your feedback on the effectiveness of the increased services for students and your input regarding how we can improve our educational programs for students. Please take a moment and complete the survey at the following link:
If you would prefer a paper copy of the survey, they can be obtained at the school and district office. In addition, Principal Kevin Triance, Principal Karen Vail and I would welcome a discussion with you regarding our LCAP. Thank you in advance for providing us with valuable information. As always, please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns to share.
