On behalf of the MTUESD staff I want to welcome all of our students and their families back to our school district. We are excited to begin the new school year and eager to provide our students with the very best education. You will notice new staff members on campus and veteran staff members serving our students in new roles. This year our district will continue the focus upon implementation of the Common Core State Standards in order to create students who are college and career ready.
Our dedicated and highly qualified staff is committed to providing the very best education to your child. We believe that every student can be successful. We also know that there must be a partnership between students, parents and the school district community to achieve that success. We want to work closely with you to address your individual student’s needs and create an effective learning community together. Your input truly matters! We have utilized the information gained from the Parent Survey last spring to assist us in improving our programs and services for students. You can access the results of the survey at Survey Results 2013-2014.
I want to encourage you to communicate with your child’s teacher frequently regarding their academic progress. You don’t have to wait until Progress Reports or Report Cards are sent home to monitor your child’s progress. Student grades can be accessed via the parent portal on Infinite Campus and you can also keep up to date with site specific and district news on our website at mtwain.k12.ca.us. In addition, each staff member has a district email address to facilitate communication. Make sure that you talk to your child daily about class activities, homework assignments and their personal achievements and challenges.
I truly appreciate it when parents share with me their questions, concerns or compliments. You can reach me by phone at 736-1855 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. I look forward to talking to you soon.
